One Touch® Ping™ Glusose Management System
The first full featured insulin pump that wirelessly communicates with a remote blood glucose meter. Allows the user to calculate insulin doses and opt to wirelessly instruct the pump to deliver insulin without touching the pump at all. The remote meter is capable of dosing the necessary bolus of insulin with its own bolus calculator and stores the nutritional value of 500 food items from the CalorieKing® food database for easy and accurate carb counting. Automatically calculates a correction dose using the last reading and keeps track of bolus insulin that has been delivered and still active in the body preventing hypoglycemia. Pump can be clipped to a belt , tucked in a pocket or secured under clothing. Waterproof up to 12 feet for 24 hours. Flat panel color screen provides outstanding readability under any conditions. The pump delivers the smallest basal increment(.025U/hr) available and a bolus rate as low as .05 U/hr for fine-tuned dosing to more precisely match patients needs. 4 year warranty on meter and insulin pump.
